The USA: Online gambling legal?
It is natural the dream of many Poker fans, on-line casino player and the operator of on-line casinos and Pokerräumen: The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement act (UIGEA) could have soon an end. At least the indications stand well that on-line gambling could be legal in the USA soon. Many companies are therefore already in lying in wait position.
Barney franc has many fans in the United States probably, at least under the poker players of the nation. The reason for it is simple, Barney franc is democratic delegates and it uses itself already since longer for the legalization of on-line pokers. Now it submitted its bill for the first time.
Re-organization in the USA
The problem with the UIGEA is just as stored as the problem with the gambling convention in Germany. Playing in on-line casino is not forbidden, also advertisement for it is permitted. That drives many players to look around on foreign platforms and to leave their money there. Within shortest time therefore in the USA a black market developed - and this is billions-worth.
Barney franc submitted now recently its bill before the finance committee of the congress, on which should be co-ordinated there. The result was clear: With 41 to 22 voices the committee gave a clear to the parliamentary bill.
Law or not
Whether the draft creates it sometime, a law to become, is not clear yet. US president Barack Obama mentioned still nothing for this and not become also the delegates probably so fast not on it to co-ordinate. It appears however the fact that also outside of the numbers of the republicans, whom so far as an only party for an abolition of the UIGEA used itself ever more delegate for a liberalisation of the gambling market in the USA pleads.
The reason for it are the empty treasuries and that ever more strongly becoming black market. To the state - similarly as in Germany - billion incomes from gambling are missing. Full 42 billion dollar could in the next years from gambling at tax revenues into the treasury flow, should the market be opened.
Industry is pleased
The current development makes the large ones happy of the gambling industry. They stand already for quite some time in the starting hole, in order to seize on the American market foot, should it once be opened. Also recently, the still nameless supercompany developed from the fusion of Bwin and PartyGaming, wants to have and completely in front play its part from the American cake, if the market is opened.
But the industry, also the players in America do not only sit in the starting hole, they are at present the concerning, which must go on illegal ways, in order to be able to play in on-line casino. And it is not made easy for them. A re-organization of the American gambling law is probably most important for the players in the country.
